Free Sales Course

How often do you get something for free? I mean really free, no strings attached free? Typically, not very often although I commend the good folk, the members of HubPages for their free advice and tips. Well how about some free sales training.

My passion as you might have guessed from by Hub name and my website Free Sales Coach is sales and professional sales skills, and in a career of over 30 years, I believe I have learnt quite a lot that others might find valuable so I have decided to give as much as I can back to the sales community.

A few years ago I wrote a sales course for my own business, a software sales company that I delivered for an hour each week over 16 weeks. The results were amazing - we quadrupled our revenue in the next 12 months.

I gave the course to a friend of mine who worked for a training company and they packaged it up and sold it as a 2 day on-site course for approximately $1500 and would get about 30 attendees per session.

I have deliverd the course about 50 times and it really is quite effective - feedback was always very positive. Some companies have reported even greater results than mine - some were marginal, but across the board there was generally a noticable revenue increase.

Recently, to make a contribution to the sales industry I decided to give the course away to anyone who was prepared to log into my website and I am making this free offer to everyone at HubPages.

The free sales course course is called Introduction to Sales and is aimed at people either moving into a sales role for the first time, or professional sales people who have been selling for some time but never really had any formal sales training. If your organization has a broad range in sales skills, you might use this to make sure at least everyone is well versed in the basics - to benchmark a solid base skillset.

In reality, I have had a number of experienced professional sales people attend the course who have commented that although it is aimed at beginners, they appreciated a new perspective and some fresh ideas.

So I am giving it to you for the grand sum of free, $0, gratis...

Here's a little sample - FAB statements ...

FAB STATEMENTS

Most people talk about Features and benefits "sell the benefits". Well a way to do that with greater success is add a little step - a product advantage that means something to your prospect.

Develop your benefit statements into FAB statements by adding the advantage in the middle.

Feature - What it is

Advantage - What it does that is relevant to your prospect

Benefit - What’s in it for your prospect

These statements include who buys your products, what they buy, what features you have, and what benefit this is to them.

1. Feature: All bolts in stock

3. Advantage: Fast delivery

4. Benefit: Manufacturing on time

F - All of our bolts are in stock

A - We can deliver to you in 2 hours

B - What that means to you is, less down time on the job.

Exercise:

Feature is _____________________________________________

Advantage is _____________________________________________

Benefit to customer _____________________________________________

Our product has _____________________________________________

The advantage of this is __________________________________________

What that means to you is _________________________________________

These are FAB statements. Develop as many FAB statements as possible. They will come in handy in all situations and are powerful selling tools. Prepare these statements carefully, and practice them regularly. They must be honest and brief.

END SAMPLE

The free sales course is 56 pages long and as I mentioned, has been delivered successfully many many times...I hope you like it.
